Summer 2022 Peru Trip

This Past June, Maya (Sisters Project Peru) went with Michael (FNE International) and Dora (Yanapana Peru) to Huacahuasi. The three went to work with the community, view the conducted soil sample that determined the location of the future clinic, walked the two and a half hour hike from Huacahuasi to Lares where the closest medical clinic is currently located, spoke with community leaders and community members on healthcare wants and needs, and got to spend more time getting to know the vibrant culture and people on a more personal level. The experience was amazing, and inspired many conversations on future trips and moving forward with the project. Future group trips, fundraising, and work to fundraise for the clinic is well underway. Stay tuned for upcoming Fall and Spring Fundraisers!
